Entry Level Bodhran. This drum is a radically reworked model based on the previous "Traditional Model". The aim of the rebuilding program was to make a good quality drum for new players entering the area, or for intermediate level players wanting to up grade but without the money to purchase the more expensive drums now available. I felt that the drum should be built without too much compromise even though the price was to be substantially less than what was currently available from most makers. It should have a good tonal range, resonance and volume and be able to be used for traditional and contemporary 'top end' styles of playing. I also decided that it should be a bench mark for bodhrans much in the same way that Seamus O'Kane's were in the 1990's.
